Course Overview

This course complies with the requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Regulation (Cap. 509A) and is a recognized First Aid Refresher Course in Hong Kong. The 8-hour course provides participants with the latest first aid knowledge and practical skills. Upon completing the 1-day course and passing the examination, participants can renew their "First Aid Certificate" for a validity period of 3 years. The course focuses primarily on practical training for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillation (AED), bleeding management, and fracture handling. Theoretical knowledge requires self-study.

Target Audience

• Aged 15 or above; AND

• Holders of a valid "First Aid Certificate" or one that has expired for no more than 6 months.

Course Duration

• Face-to-Face Instruction (Theory & Practical): 8 hours

• Examination (Theory, Bleeding & Fracture Management, CPR & AED Application): 3 hours

Certification

Participants must pass all three parts of the examination (First Aid Theory, Bleeding & Fracture Management, CPR & AED Application) to qualify for the renewal of the "First Aid Certificate" in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Regulation (Cap. 509A). The renewed certificate is valid for 3 years.
